We need help with set up (Thursday, 4/11) and all day Friday (4/12) with greeting and directing, answering questions, refilling candles, and clean up. Confirmation students may earn a service hour for signing up. A parent must accompany the confirmation student. Please consider signing up for more than one shift, if you are able. Sign up Here

  • Children's Liturgy of the WordChildren's Liturgy of the Word is a wonderful program to introduce young children to the Word of God. We rely on the help of volunteers to offer this program on Sunday mornings, and it would be a way to earn service hours for students. However, because we want our Confirmation students to focus on the Mass, it is important that they be in the church to take in the entire Mass, including the readings and Father's homily. They would not hear this while volunteering for Children's Liturgy of the Word. If a student is willing to commit to attend another Mass, in addition to the Mass that they help with CLOW, this could be an acceptable form of volunteer service. But participating in CLOW would not meet the requirement of Confirmation students attending Mass. In short, If you help with CLOW, you need to attend an additional Sunday Mass to fulfill your Sunday obligation and commitment to Confirmation prep.

    • Details: Deven Kriegl leads Children's Liturgy of the word at the 9:00 am Mass at Marystown. Children ages 4 years and older leave Mass before the first reading to have a gospel reading, activity and then return to Mass during collection. Deven is looking for volunteers to sit with the children while an adult is guiding the reading, assist with an activity and help with clean up afterwards. Deven is flexible with who is assisting at each of the Masses. Please connect with her before Mass by either stopping in the Parish Center before Mass (She will be back there setting up) or you could call/text/email her at 952-956-4254 or petedevenkriegl@yahoo.com.

    • Note: Help is only needed for 20-30 minutes at a time. For one full service hour, please help with CLOW 2 different weekends
